Weekly Report [return]
Monday September 5th 2016

Mixed week of fishing in the last week here at Bangour with Buzzers bringing in the best rewards throughout the week. Dry Flies also working well for some anglers with Bobs Bits, Hoppers, Black Gnat and CDC's bringing in the fish. A lot of fish still just below the surface although some were caught quite deep in some parts of the water. Angler Kyle Davidson had good success using a Yellow popper hopper as he landed four fish for 12lb using this fly in just over an hour.

Top rods for the week past were Paul Begbie who on Sunday pulled in 14 fish on a mixture of flies ranging from Sedges to Ally McCoist. Alex Weir also had a good day on Saturday catching 9 fish in the 3.5hrs using a yellow dancer and red cormorant. Tony Pryde had 9 fish and 7 respectively on his two visits using a mixture of dry flies, buzzers. Gary White also had 7 fish landed using the Bangour bug on Wednesday. Dougie Nimmo had 4 fish all on dry flies along with Stephen Campbell, Iain McArthur, Stevie Mcgowan, Ian Fleming who were all on a mixture of dries and buzzers.

We have seen the return of some lure fishing as they had switched off for a couple of weeks but they seem to be coming back now.
